Ingredients
¾ cup Almatahin self-rising flour
½ cup Almatahin semolina
1 teaspoon backing powder
1 cup sugar
½ cup water
¼ cup rose water
1 egg
1 teaspoon grounded cardamom
Instructions
- Combine the flour, the semolina and the backing powder, set aside
- Whisk the egg with the sugar until light yellow, add the water and rose water
- Add the dry ingredients mixture and the grounded cardamom over and mix
- Cover and let the mixture set for 30 minutes
- Place an adequate amount of oil in pan over medium heat
- Take an amount of tablespoon of the mixture and place in the pan, fry both sides until golden color
- Serve hot or warm
