Ingredients

¾ cup Almatahin self-rising flour

½ cup Almatahin semolina

1 teaspoon backing powder

1 cup sugar

½ cup water

¼ cup rose water

1 egg

1 teaspoon grounded cardamom

Instructions
  1. Combine the flour, the semolina and the backing powder, set aside
  2. Whisk the egg with the sugar until light yellow, add the water and rose water
  3. Add the dry ingredients mixture and the grounded cardamom over and mix
  4. Cover and let the mixture set for 30 minutes
  5. Place an adequate amount of oil in pan over medium heat
  6. Take an amount of tablespoon of the mixture and place in the pan, fry both sides until golden color
  7. Serve hot or warm
